What software do you use and can I retain editorial control?
We use a variety of software packages, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop, Corel Draw, Macromedia Studio, and Microsoft Office. We recommend Adobe PDF format for print publication or electronic distribution. Final editorial control remains with the customer:
Can you arrange printing and how much will it cost?
Yes, we can arrange all printing requirements. The cost is dependent on a number of factors including:
- Colour or Black & White
- Single or double-sided
- Volume
- Stock material
- Print finishing options
Can you arrange world-wide delivery?
Yes, we can arrange world-wide delivery using specialist couriers that track the whole delivery process.
Can you update my publication urgently?
Yes, we will always endeavour to meet even the most urgent deadlines. If for any reason the deadline cannot be achieved, then we will inform you accordingly. In most cases we will allocate sufficient additional resources to ensure that urgent deadlines are met.
Why are you called 3d Consultants?
The name comes from the book Dynamics in Document Design: Creating texts for readers (John Wiley, 1997) written by Karen Schriver, the former co-director of the graduate programme in technical communication and document design at Carnegie Mellon University. Dynamics in Document Design presents a new image of the reader and analyses the interplay of how words, space, illustrations and typography can work together to improve the effectiveness of the communication process.
